Alana brings a real-world understanding of community needs to the State House.

As a licensed mental health therapist with a private practice in North Kingstown, Alana works directly with children, families, and individuals navigating some of life’s most difficult challenges.

That experience shapes her approach to leadership and keeps her focused on policies that help people grow, work, and thrive at every stage of life.

She believes government works best when it listens first and acts with purpose.

Since taking office, Alana has delivered tangible results across the district:

  • In North Kingstown, Alana secured climate resilience funding for municipal upgrades and sea-level rise planning, and expanded access to local behavioral health and crisis care.

  • In Narragansett, she passed landmark legislation protecting public access to Rhode Island’s shoreline, championed environmental protections, including the PFAS ban, and helped fund infrastructure improvements at the Port of Galilee.

  • In New Shoreham (Block Island), Alana secured funding to stabilize statewide paratransit services for seniors and residents with disabilities, and supported clean energy policies that balance renewable development with land preservation.

  • Across District 36, she helped local restaurants recover by extending outdoor dining permits and expanding opportunities for small food entrepreneurs through cottage food licensing.

Alana is proud of what has been accomplished — and clear that the work continues.

She remains focused on:

  • Making Rhode Island more affordable

  • Supporting families and caregivers

  • Strengthening local economies

  • Protecting natural resources and coastal communities

Alana believes representation means showing up, staying accessible, and delivering results that reflect the priorities of the people she serves.

She lives in Narragansett with her husband, Eric, and their three children.
